Matrices believes your voice should be heard.

Matrices represents “integrated” diversity versus the “mistaken” idea of diversity. A good friend of mine, a non-profit director, was asked by her board to check in to see what the women think about an upcoming decision. She had to point out to the board that true integration means the women would not have separate meetings, but that the meetings should be integrated. In 2011, many would think this is a no-brainer, but it really is not. Such is the concept behind a “diversity event," a segregated event where the “different” people are welcome instead of ALL. I’ve encountered age, gender, and even race segregation and discrimination time and time again.

Integrated diversity means ALL voices contribute to ideas from bottom up planning / top down analysis to pop culture / mainstream. Let's redefine mainstream!
